Centre for Policy Development (CPD)

Zumio is assisting the CPD in the development of the Green Economy Toolkit as part of their Sustainable Economy programme. The Toolkit aims to “rescue good ideas from the obscurity of inquiry submissions, academic journals and long reports and place them into public policy debates”.

Essential Media Communications (EMC)

Zumio is providing social media and online strategy support for select EMC campaigns.

Amnesia Razorfish

Zumio is providing User Experience services to Amnesia Razorfish for select projects.

Saasu

Zumio is working with the Saasu team to create a User Experience strategy that delivers increased value to both Saasu and its customers.

Inspire Foundation

Facilitated the relaunch of the Inspire Foundation’s flagship program, Reach Out, by recruiting and co-ordinating the development team using the Scrum agile development process and providing user experience and interaction design support.

The technology platform produced by the team supports Reach Out Australia, Reach Out Ireland, Between the Lines and CanTeen Now What websites. Zumio also provided User Experience and Scrum support for the development of the Now What site.

Zumio’s work extended to assisting with the development of business strategy, development processes and IT infrastructure support for the Inspire Digital business unit.

Climate Friendly

While with Digital Eskimo, Zumio founder Grant Young managed the design of Climate Friendly’s website and carbon accounting web application. This included business analysis, interaction design, specification of related business logic and account management.

VicRoads Social media & networking workshops

Facilitation of a workshop series for VicRoads with approx. 100 participants to raise awareness of social media & networking impacts with key stakeholders and to collaboratively identify engagement opportunities. The workshops supported the VicRoads New Media Strategy (part of a whole of Victorian Government initiative).

Earth Hour 2007

As Communications Manager, Online/Social Media with WWF-Australia, Zumio founder Grant Young was a member of the inaugural Earth Hour team, responsible for the event’s social media strategy and implementation (including MySpace, Flickr, YouTube and blogs), online community building, email campaigning, liaison with key technical and online content partners, and technical and content development for the official Earth Hour website.

Web Directions South – Workshop facilitator

In April 2009, Grant led the Engaging Social Media workshops in Sydney and Melbourne as part of the Web Directions South Roadshow series.

UNSW

Development of business requirements/scope for the re-alignment and consolidation of key university research websites using a human-centered design approach. Co-ordination and support of the tender process for the design phase of the project. Site currently under development by Digital Eskimo.

Guest lecturer at UTS

Grant recently facilitated a workshop with students to explore User Experience principles and practices as part of the NetCultures course. He also presented a guest lecture on the same topic for the Architectural Practice: Media and Marketing course and delivered the Introduction to WebMedia course for Visual Communications students.

Chinese Internet Censorship Index (CICI), Amnesty International Australia

Developed the methodology and delivered a supporting web application for the CICI campaign, enabling Amnesty supporters to detect and report on censored websites from within China supported by an automated testing framework. This included the integration of WebSitePulse reporting data and Amazon Web Services cloud-based infrastructure.
